The Scroll® Compressor
All of our residential/commercial package units, regardless of efficiency level, feature the Scroll Compressor. These scroll compressors use a more advanced technology than traditional reciprocating compressors. There is a separate compressor compartment for easy service access. External wraparound Crankcase heater helps prevent refrigerant migration to the compressor oil during long off periods.  They have fewer moving parts; they are quieter, more efficient, longer lasting.

Durable Cabinet
Our cabinets have a powder painted finish that protects them from the harshest weather extremes. Galvanized steel with powder coat paint finish. The powder coat paint finish is high gloss, durable and capable of withstanding a 1000-HR salt spray test per ASTM B117. The unit is of the frame and panel type of construction which allows all access panels to be opened or removed without affecting the structural strength of the unit. Fastening screws are also of the 1000-HR type. Stamped louver panels offer 100% protection for the condenser coil.

Refrigerant Connections
Field piping connections are made through a fixed panel. This allows removal of access panels after piping connections have been made.

Motor/Fan Motor Mount
Our mount helps protect the fan motor from the elements for longer life. Its design dependability helps reduce vibration and noise. Condenser fan motor(s) are mounted on removable top panel(s) which bring the motor(s) out to you and expose entire condenser coil for cleaning. Condenser fan motors (Direct Drive)—Ball bearing 1075 RPM motors are mounted to minimize vibration and noise problems. These are permanent split capacitor types.

Matched Blower/Evaporator Coil Unit
The blower is responsible for the flow of air into your duct work. It has been designed to match the MultiFlex® evaporator coil and other system components for maximum efficiency and quiet operation. In addition, the coil features rifled copper tubing and enhanced fins for improved efficiency. Single slab, single pass designed evaporator coil facilitates easy cleaning for maintained high efficiencies.

Service Access
Control box with separation between line and control voltages, as well as compressor and other refrigerant controls are accessible through removable panel without affecting normal operation of unit.

Other Benefits
LOW AMBIENT CONTROL-A pressure sensitive fan cycling control allows operation of units down to 0°F [-17.8°C].

HIGH PRESSURE CONTROL—Opens the contactor circuit on high refrigerant pressure; manual reset.

LOW PRESSURE CONTROL—Stops compressor operation in the event of loss of refrigerant.

SERVICE VALVES—Standard on liquid and suction lines. Allows outdoor section to be isolated from indoor coil.

TRANSFORMER—Step-down type, from Line to 24 volts, provides control circuit voltage.

CONTACTOR—The contactor is an electrical switch which operates the compressor and condenser fans.

TESTING—All units are run tested at the factory prior to shipment. Units are shipped with a holding charge of nitrogen.

TIME DELAY—Supplied on tandem compressor models to provide a delay between stages.

FILTER/DRIER—A liquid line filter drier is shipped with each unit for field installation.
