  • Save money – using energy savings scheduling, program your water heater to match your needs throughout the day – higher during high-use times, and lower production when no one is using hot water
  • Know if you have enough hot water for a shower – there’s nothing worse than finding out after you’re already in the shower, so check using the Hot Water Availability Indicator and there won’t be any surprises
  • Change the operation mode from anywhereProTerra has five modes to adjust to your needs – Energy Saver, Heat Pump, Electric, High Demand and Vacation
  • You can keep tabs on your energy savings – view weekly, monthly and yearly usage reports to manage your energy consumption

Know the Health of Your Water Heater

The compressor health status gives you the power to proactively schedule a service call and avoid being without hot water. You can know if an element is failing with the Element Health Indicator so it can be replaced before it becomes a problem. Diagnostic Mode allows your plumber to view important information via the Rheem contractor app or EcoNet app to make your service visits faster.

Rheem ProTerra Hybrid Electric Water Heater KitchenSave Your Home from Potential Water Damage

A leak is not something you want to experience if you can help it. ProTerra with LeakGuard saves you from that costly and stressful situation. You’ll be informed of a problem before there’s no hot water and the auto shut-off valve limits the leak to no more than 20 ounces.1

Note: Our Rheem Gladiator Electric Water Heater also uses the same LeakGuard technology to protect your home.

1 Applies to Premium models only. Rheem leak-sensing data; testing under a vacuum lock using 50-gallon tank, no expansion tank, average tank pressure of 40 psi, assuming no additional faucets are opened.
