September 13, 2019

Race Info: The Rhino Pro Truck Outfitters 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 14, 2019. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM 90, and PRN Radio.

Vegas Bound: Christopher Bell will make his fourth NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start behind the wheel of the No. 20 Rheem-Smurfit Kappa Toyota Supra this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS). In his three previous NXS starts at LVMS he has earned one pole, two top-five and two top-10 finishes.

We were really fast at Vegas in the spring, it was probably the best Vegas car we’ve had. I was able to drive by Kyle (Busch) late in the race.

Desert Success: Prior to his NXS starts, Bell had three successful starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) at LVMS earning one top-five and two top-10 finishes.

On the Car: Through their relationship with Rheem, Smurfit Kappa will be on the hood of the No. 20 this weekend at LVMS. Smurfit Kappa is a FTSE 100 company and one of the leading providers of paper-based packaging in the world, with operations in 23 European countries and 12 countries in the Americas. Indy Recap: Bell qualified third and had a fast No. 20 Rheem Supra throughout the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With eight laps remaining Bell had the lead and was in a side-by-side battle to maintain his position when his car and another made contact, both took hard hits into the outside wall. The damage was too severe to continue, resulting in a 29th-place finish.

Points Update: Following Indianapolis, Bell and his No. 20 Rheem team currently sit second in the points standings, 50 points back heading into the final race in the 2019 regular season.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Las Vegas: JGR has 53 NXS starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and has earned two wins, 15 top-five and 26 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has won five pole awards with an average start of 11.0 an average finish of 13.8.

Christopher Bell: “We were really fast at Vegas in the spring, it was probably the best Vegas car we’ve had. I was able to drive by Kyle (Busch) late in the race, but then ran it into the wall. I’ve got to do a better job of executing and finishing the races there.”
