Christopher Bell will be driving the #20 Rheem Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Supra in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Race Info: The Indiana 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway begins at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM 90, and MRN Radio.

Yard of Bricks: Christopher Bell will be making his second-career NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In 2018 rain delayed the race until Monday. Bell started seventh since qualifying was also rained out and ran consistently in the top five, but a tight handling condition late in the race left him with a seventh-place finish.

I love Darlington. It’s a really fun racetrack. It’s really slick and I’m ready to redeem myself from last year.

On the Car: Through their relationship with Rheem, Parker Hannifin will grace the hood of the No. 20 with their Zoomlock brand this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies. Zoomlock is an industry leader in refrigerant fittings. For more information visit: www.zoomlock.com

Darlington Recap: Bell qualified second but battled handling during the 147-lap event. The handling shifted from one extreme to the other as it went from tight to loose. Despite the handling woes, Bell was able to cross the finish line fourth at Darlington.

Points Update: Following Darlington, Bell and his No. 20 team currently sit second in the points standings, 51 points back with two races remaining in the 2019 regular season.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Indianapolis: JGR has 22 NXS starts at The Brickyard and has earned three wins, eight top-five and 13 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has won four pole awards with an average start of 5.3 an average finish of 10.4.

Christopher Bell: “We were close, we had a shot at winning last year and with the drafting duct races I zigged when I should have zagged and got shuffled a couple of spots. It was frustrating because we were in contention, but I think we’ll have a shot at it again this year. Drafting duct races are so different than what we do every week. We just need to go there and try and execute and be there at the end.”
