Preview – Circle K Firecracker 250 presented by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway

July 4, 2019

RACE INFO: The Circle K Firecracker 250 powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, July 5, 2019. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM 90, and MRN Radio.

Back to Daytona: Christopher Bell and the No. 20 Ruud team return to the track on Friday night for their second and final stop of the 2019 season at the iconic Daytona International Speedway (DIS). Bell will be making his fourth-career NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at the 2.5-mile speedway on Friday. Last July he crossed the finish line third in his first ever night race at Daytona. In the season kickoff in February Bell started 11th and stayed out of trouble all race to finish sixth.

For whatever reason the really slick intermediate tracks seem to be our struggle point, they aren’t our bread and butter, but I’m excited to get back there and try and get better at it

Salute to Service: The No. 20 Ruud Supra will carry the 3rd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army out of Ft. Stewart, Georgia on the windshield this weekend as part of the NASCAR Salute to Service campaign. Rheem Manufacturing Company and its Ruud brand share a common in ground in having a large military Veteran workforce and Johnathan Dade, the Company’s Southeast Regional Sales Manager, served as a field artillery officer with the 3rd Infantry Division from 1999-2003.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Daytona: JGR has 91 Xfinity Series starts at DIS and has earned four wins, 21 top-five and 36 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has won nine poles with an average start of 10.5 an average finish of 17.0.

Christopher Bell: “Daytona isn’t really my style of driving, but it has been good to me over the last couple of races with a third and sixth-place finish. It’s also an honour to represent the men and women of the 3rd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army from Ft. Stewart, Georgia on my windshield this weekend. Hopefully we can qualify towards the front and stay out of trouble during the race. Things can happen quick at Daytona, but we are looking for a good finish Friday night under the lights in our Ruud Supra.”
