Paul Menard Is Ready To Compete at Atlanta Motor Speedway

February 24, 2015

NASCAR XFINITY Series – Hisense 250
February 28, 2015 – Atlanta Motor Speedway
Paul Menard, No. 33

This weekend in the Hisense 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Paul Menard and the No. 33 Richmond / Menards team will race chassis No. 157. This Chevrolet Camaro is a new addition to the Richard Childress Racing stable in 2015 being utilized for the first time this weekend. In six NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at the 1.5-mile track, Menard has earned two top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 13.5 and an average finish of 15.3. The 34-year-old driver has also started inside the top 10 on three separate occasions during an XFINITY Series event. Menard has completed 99.6 percent of the laps around the Hampton, Ga. track. In addition, he has 13 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts.

The older the surface, the better it is typically. I think Atlanta has one of the oldest surfaces we race on and it’s very abrasive, so when you put tires on they feel really good for about a lap and a half then it’s a noticeable difference a lap after that. You start sliding around and you have to make the line work for your car. It’s a driver’s track for sure. – Paul Menard
