Harvick Aims For a Top-Five Finish at Dollar General 300

October 9, 2013

NASCAR Nationwide Series – Dollar General 300
October 11, 2013 – Charlotte Motor Speedway
Kevin Harvick, No. 33

Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No. 112 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable in the Dollar General 300 on Friday night. This RCR-prepared Chevrolet was most recently driven to a third-place result by Matt Crafton at Kentucky Speedway in September. Since 2001, Harvick has made 23 Nationwide Series starts at the 1.5-mile facility, collecting three pole awards (May 2001, May 2003 and October 2003), five top-five and 14 top-10 finishes. The two-time Nationwide Series champion holds a 12th-place average starting position coupled with an 11.3 average finishing position. He has completed 99.5 percent (4,553 of 4,578) of the laps contested and is credited with 274 laps led.

It’s always fun to get back into the Nationwide car with the No. 33 guys, especially at Charlotte (Motor Speedway). I seem to run well there, and our intermediate-track program has been pretty good this season. I’m hoping things will go our way and we can put the Fast Fixin’ Chevrolet in Victory Lane. – Kevin Harvick
