NASCAR XFINITY Series – Buckle Up 200 presented by Click it or Ticket
May 30, 2015 – Dover International Speedway, Dover, Del.

Austin Dillon will pilot Chassis No. 157 in the Buckle Up 200 at Dover International Speedway. This Richard Childress Racing-prepared Chevrolet Camaro is new for the 2015 season and made its debut at Atlanta Speedway in February with Paul Menard where he started 11th and finished sixth.

The Welcome, N.C., native driver has four NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at the one-mile concrete oval, collecting four top-10 finishes and one pole award. Dillon holds an average starting position of 6.0 and an average finishing position of 7.5 with 43 laps led.

According to NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics, Dillon holds some impressive stats so far in the 2015 season. The 25-year-old driver ranks first in the following categories: driver rating (111.5), drivers fastest late in a run, green-flag speed and speed by quarter. Dillon is second amongst his competitors in closers, drivers fastest early in a run, fastest laps run (216), fastest on restarts, laps led (352) and mile leaders. He also ranks third in average running position and fastest speed in traffic.

Dillon and the No. 33 Rheem Chevrolet team earned their second win of the 2015 XFINITY Series season on Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The RCR team posted the fastest time during qualifying and made minimal adjustments to the black, red and white Camaro throughout the 200-lap event. Dillon led a total of 163 laps before taking the checkered flag in front of the hometown crowd.

So far this season, Dillon has been entered in nine XFINITY Series events, collecting two victories, six top-five finishes, seven top-10 finishes and four pole awards. Dillon has led a total of 352 laps with an average starting position of 3.9 coupled with an average finishing position of 8.9.

Do you learn something new every time you go to Dover International Speedway?
I’m not sure. I think I have a basic strategy every time we go there for how I’m going to drive the car. It works out for me that way each time I’ve gone there. I think it’s one of our better tracks we visit every year. I know having the extra seat time running both the XFINITY and Cup Series events will definitely help this weekend, too. – Austin Dillon
