James Buescher Looking Forward to Competing at Iowa Speedway

May 13, 2014

NASCAR Nationwide Series – Get To Know Newton 250
May 18, 2014 – Iowa Speedway
James Buescher, No. 99

James Buescher and the No. 99 Rheem team head to Iowa Speedway for the Get To Know Newton 250 after enjoying a weekend off. Buescher last raced at Iowa Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), where he drove straight to visit victory lane. Buescher has one previous NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the 0.875-oval. In that start, Buescher secured a top-10 with a ninth-place finish. Buescher, however, is no stranger to Iowa Speedway. He has seven starts in the NCWTS, two in the ARCA Racing Series, two in the Pro Cup Racing Series and one in the K&N Pro Series. During Buescher’s NCWTS starts, he’s accumulated a total of 146-laps led, three top-fives and four top-10 finishes. Buescher and the RAB Racing No. 99 Rheem team aim to secure the team’s first top-five of the 2014 season.

I won there last year in the truck and I’ve been in position to win several truck races there and ARCA races and Hooters Pro Cup races. It’s a place that I felt like I had earned a win several times and had never gotten one and I finally got one last year. It was a hard one to capture, but we did it. We led the last couple laps and won there. I enjoy going to that race track — it’s a cool race track and I’ve been going there since the year after it opened in multiple different series. I feel like I have a lot of laps around there and understand where you need to be and how you need to have your car setup. I seem to run well there. – James Buescher
