Christopher Bell – No. 20 Ruud Toyota Supra Preview The My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway

Bell at Texas Motor Speedway: Christopher Bell has three prior NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS), earning one pole, one top-five and two-top 10 finishes. Bell narrowly missed a win one year ago at Texas, crossing the finish line second. In the fall at Texas Bell qualified on the pole and had a fast car, but was collected in an accident.

We’ve run really well in the past there and I felt like we were one of the best race cars both races last year so hopefully, we can add another win to the column.

Texas Truck Success: In addition to his three NXS starts at TMS, Bell has five Truck Series starts at the 1.5-mile track and found his way to victory lane in 2017. In addition to the win, Bell has two top-five and three top-10 finishes at TMS.

Home Track: Christopher Bell is originally from Norman, Oklahoma, which is just over two hours away from Texas Motor Speedway.

Auto Club Recap: Bell drove his No. 20 Supra to a third-place finish at Auto Club Speedway. Bell qualified fourth and during the open Stage noticed that the throttle was hanging. The team made an extra pit stop at the conclusion of Stage 2 to remedy the situation. Bell started at the tail end of the field for the final Stage and wasted no time making his way forward through the field, even leading a few laps after a fast pit stop by his pit crew.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Texas Motor Speedway: JGR has 86 NXS starts at TMS and has earned 11 wins, 32 top-five and 55 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has won eight pole awards with an average start of 10.6 an average finish of 11.1.

Christopher Bell: “Texas is my home race track so I really enjoy going there. Texas is a very unique race track and that also makes it enjoyable. It’s getting a little bit older, so hopefully, we’ll be able to move around before too long. It’s very fast, in turns three and four you can almost run wide open. Last year it was super cold and we were running flat through three and four. We’ve run really well in the past there and I felt like we were one of the best race cars both races last year so hopefully, we can add another win to the column.”
