Looking to Tame the Monster: The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) heads to Dover International Speedway (Dover) this weekend for the final race in the Round 12 of the 2018 Playoffs. Already locked into the Round of 8, Christopher Bell and his Rheem team will look to tame the track known as the “Monster Mile” and earn their sixth win of the season on Saturday afternoon. Bell is no stranger to success at the Monster Mile, having started 34th and working his way through field, ultimately finishing fourth in the Spring race back in May.

Dover is really fast, and truly unlike any race track we visit all year. We had a solid run there back in May.

Charlotte Recap: The NXS hit the track at NASCAR’s newest track, The ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway, last Saturday afternoon for the second race in the Round of 12 of the 2018 NXS Playoffs. After qualifying 13th for the 55-lap event, Bell and his GameStop/Fallout 76 team ran inside the top-five for the majority of the race, won stage two, and ultimately crossed the finish line in the fifth position, earning their 16th top-five finish of the 2018 season.

Looking to Make History: With his win two weeks ago in Richmond, Bell tied Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle for the most wins by a driver in their rookie season. Bell will look to break the record on Saturday at Dover.

Points Update: Following the race in Charlotte, Bell and his Rheem team currently sit first in the points standings, 33 points ahead of second heading into the final race in the Round of 12 of the NXS playoffs.

Joe Gibbs Racing at Dover: JGR has 90 NXS starts at Dover with 11 wins, 33 top-five and 54 top-10 finishes. The championship-winning organization has 10 pole awards with an average start of 9.2 and an average finish of 11.5.

Christopher Bell: “I’m looking forward to Dover and getting back behind the wheel of my Rheem Camry this weekend. Last week at the ROVAL was fun and we were able to come away with a top-five finish and a good points day heading into this weekend, so that’s always a positive. Dover is really fast, and truly unlike any race track we visit all year. We had a solid run there back in May, so hopefully we can go out and duplicate that effort this weekend and come away with another solid finish for Rheem and everyone on this No. 20 team.”
